WIFE of former premier Datuk Seri Najib Razak, Datin Seri Rosmah Mansor, has filed a RM1mil defamation lawsuit against TikTok user Ku Muhammad Hilmie Ku Din with 1,584 followers.
Ku Muhammad allegedly uploaded a video in March 2023 under the username ‘CEO Heelmie Fighter,’ accusing Rosmah of practicing black magic.
Rosmah said the allegations have severely damaged her reputation, credibility and relationships including her role as a patron of charitable organisations. She argued that the compensation should reflect her status and achievements as a public figure.
“The defendant’s statement explicitly referred to me with the implication that I am associated with activities involving demons and witchcraft. It also portrays my appearance as being associated with acts of shirk, demons and regularly practicing such acts,” she said.
Moreover, Rosmah claimed that the defamatory statement has affected her relationships with the public, adding that some friends have distanced themselves, possibly because they fear being associated with her tarnished image.
A default judgement was issued in Rosmah’s favour in May 2024, as the defendant failed to respond to the lawsuit. The court has scheduled May 27, 2025, for proceedings to assess the damages.
