Little girl laughed at by friends because her father is a laksa seller

EVEN kids nowadays are becoming status conscious and that is a bad sign. As though starting life as a standard one student is not traumatic enough, a poor child was laughed at by her friends when she told them that her father was a laksa seller.

However, captions in the video post on X said that the little girl was grateful as her father did it all for her.

The online community were touched by her predicament, while a good number of them pointed out the profitability of doing business unlike those salaried workers out there.

Netizen ALIA added that she was once laughed at because her father was a lorry driver. “But every time there is a feast in class, my dad was the one who sponsored the ice,” she said.

mhmmdhsm chipped in, stating that it also happened to him for selling nasi lemak.

Another netizen claimed that no one dared to tease his child because he had tattoos.

FiraGujiwa further shared that although she was never teased, she still felt ashamed that her father sold newspapers and magazines.

According to her, she would run away when she sees her teachers coming over to her shop.

Then there was K who claimed that he was mocked because his parents sold chicken rice. However, the person who mocked him happened to buy the most too.

“During my primary school years, I don’t care what jobs your parents did as long as there are enough players to play the Grab The Pole game,” said fiffyarmiza.

On our part, we think laksa sellers deserve every respect for spicing up our life with all that sweet, soury goodness.

By the way, it is great to reiterate that successful and famed laksa sellers make more money than the average corporate pencil pusher, way more. Think about that and most importantly, keep your head up and high, little girl. —Feb 26, 2025
