Driver goes viral for parking at the exit of Dataran Putrajaya, obstructing many vehicles

IF YOU think double parking drivers are annoying, think again, because there are far worse ones out there.

Recently, a driver caused quite a bit of inconvenience for parking, of all places, at the exit of a parking lot. Talk about the lack of common sense.

To make matters worse, it was during the evening when all the fasting Muslims were about to leave to eat.

The result? The bystanders had to help push another car to the side to make way for the other vehicles to leave. Even that was not enough as the drivers need to drive over the road to escape.

Captions in the video stated that there was an elderly man among the helpers who suffered from a slipped disc. However, illegal parking is a-dime-a-thousand in this country.

What made this particular case special was the sexism involved. Several netizens claimed the offender was a woman driver and the hate began to pour in.

Then there were the netizens who suggested some “solutions” to remedy the situation.

According to aimanfarhan, the authorities in India would puncture the tyres of the offender should they park wrongly. “People waste their time. You waste money. Justice,” said aimanfarhan.

Another netizen said the windows of the car should be broken so they could disengage the handbrake of the car. “They have insurance. It is up to them to repair it,” she said.

Cílott. added that the authorities could be called in to tow the car away. “Park it far away so she will freak out not being able to find her car,” said Cílott.

Finally, there was Random_History_Guy who wondered how the netizens knew about the gender of the car driver.

Nyenyel. further pointed out that everyone who parked there was foolish. “This is not a parking area. Nearby there are many parking areas that require payment, but you want free things,” he said among many other things.

On our part, the inconvenience caused by the driver might not be deliberate. At times, parking squares are not drawn properly or the designated parking spots are confusing.

It happens and it is certainly not a male versus female driver competition. Regardless, it wouldn’t hurt to leave one’s phone number in the car as stated in a caption in the video.—Mar 2, 2025
