SUCH is the teaser levelled at PAS mouthpiece HarakahDaily by a pro-Madani keyboard warrior after it was revealed that the publication has yet to settle a RM2.4 mil debt – believed to be backdated to 2017 – owed to its printer NAJ Press Resources (M) Sdn Bhd.
“How many PAS members are there? PAS has over one million members. If each member forks out RM3, the debt can already be paid 🤔“ proposed ReeN 🇵🇸 (@ReeNGaston) in reaction to a viral TikTok video by debt collector agency Asia Pro Consultancy Sdn Bhd.
“Can’t even settle RM2 mil yet you aspire to become the government?”
Hutang 2 juta lebih tak boleh settle ?
Berapa orang ahli PAS ?
PAS ada 1 juta lebih ahli.
Setiap ahli allocate RM3 seorang, dah boleh bayar hutang 🤔Hutang 2 juta pun tak boleh settle, ada hati nak jadi kerajaan ?@PASPusat @abdulhadiawang @titm_official @harakahdailyHD pic.twitter.com/nRe1Zh8fLl

The poster went on top back her argument with a statement by PAS secretary-general Datuk Seri Takiyuddin Hassan during the PAS general assembly on Sept 15 last year that PAS currently has 1.05 million members or an increase of 10,000 headcount from the previous year.
In the original TikTok post, the debt collector acting on behalf of NAJ Press has appealed to the HarakahDaily management, particularly its board of director chaired by PAS vice-president and Bagan Serai MP Datuk Idris Ahmad to resolve the matter cordially.
“Avoiding to discuss settlement professionally with Asia Pro Consultancy will not solve the problem,” lamented the debt collector.
“The agreement letter is not fake. As an MP, you should be very concerned about the problem because debt settlement is highly emphasised in Islamic teaching.”
As what can be viewed from the video, the debt collector on duty can be seen berating the HarakahDaily management which has locked its entrance door to prevent Asia Pro Consultancy representatives from entering its premises.
“The pending settlement has caused hardship to the press owner Haji Azlan who is short of financial resources to even undergo an urgent operation,” fumed the debt collector.
Another Pakatan Harapan (PH) backers wondered why PAS practises double standards when it comes to debt settlement process.
“Why are PAS leaders silent on HarakahDaily’s debts when the party would decree as jihad and swiftly pass around Milo tins to settle defamation suits against its leaders … But when labelled as penunggang agama (religious hypocrites) its staunch supporters will jump up the wall. 🤣” wondered Facebooker Elly Yusuf. – June 24, 2025
