Car doing “splits” on the road catches attention and concern online

THERE are countless upgrades that people could do for their car. A noisy exhaust. Body kit. Fiery stickers. You name it.

But sometimes, some people decided that it was a good idea to stand out among the crowd. And that is best achieved by reconfiguring the tires to make it look like it was about to pop out from right under the car.

Take a look at this viral video to get a better picture.

Fascinatingly, the car was still able to move despite the configuration, suggesting that it was not caused by an accident.

Ironically, the emergency lights could be seen blinking at the rear. Interestingly, the cops actually allowed such a vehicle to run on the public road.

Netizens were tickled pink by the vehicle, with some comparing it to the transformers cartoon.

“He will fly soon. Later a door at the top will open,” said @Galleredz. @8iG8YE added that this was the first time he saw a car make a split.

“He has just finished leg day,” added @ohmakguard, a term where bodybuilders would train their legs at the gym, resulting in soreness that hampers their mobility.

Another netizen pointed out that this was an amphibious vehicle capable of moving on the road or even in the water. However, some netizens were not impressed by it.

According to @maxsastro, this was how people of the B40 income group entertained themselves. “Let’s just pretend we don’t see them,” he said.

Also, @CakapJelahApa suggested that the poor should not indulge in activities that are not beneficial.

“If you are disabled, why not use a wheelchair,” pointed out @AmirulMashral. Several others felt that the configuration would cause difficulties to the other road users.

Little else can be derived from the brief video, such as the place where the car was sighted or whether it broke down into several pieces after a lengthy drive. But one thing is certain.

It is these strange people with their strange ideas that make the world an interesting place to live in. Although, interesting should be fine as long as it doesn’t turn dangerous. —June 24, 2025
