AS WE go about life, we tend to question the motive of the people around us and wonder if they are truly as good as they seem.
One sure way to find out is to observe how they act when dealing with someone who doesn’t benefit them.
To keep things short, there is much we can discover about a person from the way they treat animals.
Malaysia is no short of stories about animal cruelty, and thankfully, about kindness towards them.
The latter is best reflected by a recent video on Instagram which showed a young man with a huge heart.
In the video, he could be seen covered in black to protect himself from the evening sun, a placard hung around his neck saying, “rescued puppies for adoption.”
Viewers will note from the conversation that he would stand by the side of the road with the placard for about 12 hours, trying to get the passerby to adopt the dogs which he kept in a cage nearby.
Now who would go to such length to give some puppies a better, forever home? The video has since received over 32,000 likes, 725 comments and 5,287 shares.
Unsurprisingly, netizens have nothing but praise for this kind soul. Looking at his passion, we can only wonder why there are so few of such people in Malaysia.
“The cloth, bag of ice, mini fan, umbrella for the puppies really shows your heart for these animals,” said a sharp-eyed netizen by the name of racchen.
Then there was suhania_david_john stating that he had been doing this for years. “Been a big fan and huge respect always,” she said.
The best comment probably came from tadhz1008 and this was what he said:

“I’ve been following him on FB!! real hero!! Truly inspiring. Thanks for spotlighting him,” added kindness.iscoool.

The man in question is Francis Yirdaki and more of his activities and posts online can be found at https://www.facebook.com/francispohct.
But more importantly, are there any huge hearts out there with some space to spare for the puppies?
Let’s adopt them quickly so this kind man does not need to stand for long in the sun.
Francis can be found standing at Lorong Batu Nilam 21A (In front of Pets Trails Pet Shop, which is still nearby to The Landmark or Aeon Bukit Tinggi). —Apr 7, 2026
