SUCH is seemingly the popular reaction of Malay netizens to the impression built by National PKR women’s wing vice-chief Loh Ker Chean that Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim is the best Prime Minster for the Malaysian Chinese community.
Despite this being his first premiership term, Loh has alluded to PMX having implemented several changes in the education sector that also benefit Chinese pupils and schools without affecting the rights of other races.
Pointing to the matriculation admission policy which is still maintained at a 90:10 ratio between Bumiputera and non-Bumiputera, she praised the Madani government for having provided guaranteed admission for 10As Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) scorers regardless of race, religion or background.
“For a long time, we’ve to admit that there has been suspicion among the Chinese community towards the implementation of the previous government’s policies, especially in the field of education which is considered unfair to minorities,” enlightened the Education Minister’s special function officer in a statement.

“PMX is trying to address this situation because if no steps are taken, there will be quarters who feel oppressed while others will see this sentiment as a refusal to accept governmental policies. Ultimately, this situation could hinder efforts to strengthen national unity.”
‘Bad for Malays, Islam”
Added the founder of Empati Malaysia and founder/campaign director of “Ageing with Dignity” awareness campaign”
PMX has never belittled the Chinese community in front of the Malays just as he has never denigrated the Malays in front of the Chinese or Indian communities.
“This approach is different from some political leaders who like to fan racial sentiments to gain support, thus proving that he’s the PM for all Malaysians.
Propaganda or otherwise, the statement which was picked up by Malay language news portal Sinar Harian and later uploaded on Astro Awani’s Facebook page has elicited 9.4K likes, 2.9K comments and 215 shares at the time of writing
Interestingly, Malays – probably due to their political affiliation – begged to differ with some commenter mocking, “Not good for us Malays and especially for Islam” or “the best for the Chinese but the most useless from the Malay viewpoint”.

“The worst PM Malaysia has ever had,” another hit out with one disgruntled netizen claimed that “he just follows your (Chinese) lead and does what you (the Chinese) want”.
“Only your DAPig factions are the beneficiaries. Is your race oppressed living in Malaysia? The rakyat don’t need PMX who behaves like this,” he fumed. Added another: “The Malays already knew. He’s a DAP mule.”

Contending that Loh has been honest that PMX is the best PM for the Chinese, one commenter justified that is “because PMX is merely a DAP servant”.
“PMX will not disturb or take action against the Chinese but he’ll ruin the Malays. Malay rights. Malay children’s rights,” he lamented.

Others were rejoicing at prospect of “95% rakyat rejecting the Madani government come GE16 (16th General Election)” and the very fact that “PMX was never handpicked by the rakyat to begin with”.

One commenter took the empirical approach by listing down all of PMX’s failure.

At the end of the day, one commenter revealed that “my Chinese business friends all curse PMX and say they won’t vote for him”.
“They had previously voted for him because of DAP … That’s what they say… Because it’s hard to do business now … I don’t quite get it either but almost all my Chinese friends seem to say so.” – June 21, 2026
