Muhyiddin will not take bullying from PN lying down; vows to take action

THE Malaysian United Indigenous Party (BERSATU) has expressed its intention to form a new political coalition if it is no longer needed within PN.

Its president, Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin, said BERSATU has its own position in dealing with such a scenario and is prepared to establish a coalition with several other parties.

“If PN can no longer be repaired. If actions are taken to the extent that PN is said to have become toxic. What are we supposed to do?” he said, adding that BERSATU will not die and will remain forever.

“So, do not take BERSATU lightly. Do not try to push me out. As a party, BERSATU will endure and become an even bigger political force,” he said.

Also present were BERSATU vice-presidents Datuk Seri Ahmad Faizal Azumu and Datuk Dr Mohd Radzi Jidin, secretary-general Datuk Seri Mohamed Azmin Ali, and Johor BERSATU chairman Datuk Dr Sahruddin Jamal.

Referring to PN’s decision to remove Dr Mohd Radzi Jidin from his position as Election Director-General and Azmin from his role as Deputy Secretary-General, Muhyiddin warned parties within the coalition against undermining BERSATU.

“We will defend BERSATU forever. Do not try to trample on us. We have strength. We have spirit. Do not underestimate us,” he said.

Meanwhile, Muhyiddin explained that the idea behind the formation of BERSATU was to uphold truth and prevent wrongdoing.

He said that following its establishment, BERSATU worked together with other parties and eventually formed PN.

According to him, PN was established to attract greater participation from parties that share their principles.

With this partnership and coalition of parties, in less than ten years, more than 70 per cent of the supporters and voters have been Malays, claims Muhyiddin.

“We were able to win many seats. Had there not been those who caused problems by withdrawing their support, we would have had around 91 Members of Parliament,” he said.—June 22, 2026
