ZOOM Communications Inc has appointed Carlos Quaderi as its head of Asia-Pacific (APAC) as the hybrid work platform seeks to expand the adoption of its artificial intelligence (AI)-powered workplace and customer experience solutions across the region.
The appointment will take effect on Aug 1 with Quaderi overseeing Zoom’s operations in Australia and New Zealand as well as Asia ex Japan including Malaysia, India and South Korea.
He will report directly to Zoom chief sales and growth officer Graeme Geddes and lead the company’s go-to-market strategy across the region.

Quaderi who is currently Zoom’s head of Asia will take on the broader role after previously overseeing the San Jose, California-based the NASDAQ exchange-listed company’s strategy, sales execution and market development activities in Southeast Asia, Hong Kong and Taiwan.
In his new position, he will focus on expanding Zoom’s customer experience business by strengthening presence among small and medium-sized businesses and growing its network of channel partners.
According to Geddes, Asia-Pacific remained an important growth market for Zoom, particularly across the enterprise and SME segments, customer experience solutions and its partner ecosystem.
“Carlos has been instrumental in building our momentum and expanding his leadership is a natural next step,” he pointed out.

“His deep understanding of the region, customer focus and track record will help more organisations embrace Zoom’s AI capabilities in ways that improve productivity, strengthen customer relationships and accelerate business growth.”
Quaderi has more than 30 years of experience in the technology industry and previously held senior leadership roles at Workday, Amazon Web Services and Microsoft prior to joining Zoom in December 2025.
In his view, organisations in Malaysia and across the region increasingly required technology that could help employees work more quickly while preserving meaningful human interaction.
He added that connecting conversations, employees and workflows could help organisations move more quickly from ideas to execution and achieve stronger business outcomes.

The appointment comes as companies across the APAC region are increasingly looking beyond stand-alone productivity applications towards integrated AI systems capable of connecting workplace conversations with business processes and follow-up actions.
Zoom has been positioning itself as a “system of action” for modern workplaces with its technology linking meetings, calls and chats to documents, customer records, tasks and other enterprise systems.
The company said it would continue investing in the APAC region by expanding its partner ecosystem and strengthening its regional presence.
Zoom’s platform integrates with existing business applications and provides services spanning video meetings, telephone communications and contact centre operations. – July 20, 2026
