BURSA Malaysia ended lower on Tuesday, as renewed gains in crude oil prices and persistent geopolitical concerns weighed on investor sentiment.
At 5pm, the FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) eased 3.91 points, or 0.23%, to 1,731.46 compared with yesterday’s close of 1,735.37.
The benchmark index opened 0.04 of a point higher at 1,735.41 and fluctuated between 1,725.48 and 1,738.21 throughout the day.
On the broader market, losers led gainers 581 to 562, while 585 counters were unchanged, 1,047 untraded and 13 suspended.
Turnover narrowed to 3.43 billion units valued at RM2.94 bil from 3.49 billion units valued at RM2.55 bil on Monday. ‒ Aug 11, 2026
