Thomson Hospital Kota Damansara ties with T-Systems for digital transformation

THE Thomson Hospital Kota Damansara (THKD) is exploring solutions to address the rising healthcare demand through digital means by appointing T-Systems Singapore to enable its digital transformation.

By doing so, THKD will be able to enhance patient experience, improve patient outcomes and drive operational efficiency.

The first phase started in November 2020 and the transformation is expected to be fully completed by 2023.

“When we embarked on an expansion programme to add 400 beds, we decided to futureproof our offerings and digitally transform to support our vision of providing patient-centred services and integrated healthcare,” said TMC Life Sciences Bhd executive director and CEO Nadiah Wan.

TMC Life Sciences Bhd is the parent company of THKD.

“We partnered with T-Systems because they have a proven track record of implementing SAP for Healthcare solutions in Southeast Asia and Europe with an end-to-end solution that optimises operational efficiency in the finance, procurement, revenue cycle management and EMR functions,” Nadiah added.

Thomson Hospital Kota Damansara currently features 200 beds and over 100 trained medical and surgical consultants.

Once the expansion is completed, the new facility will have a combined capacity of 600 beds, 12 state-of-the art operating theatres, 154 outpatient specialist clinics and an integrated cancer and nuclear medicine centre amongst other key tertiary healthcare services. – Dec 19, 2020
