New COVID-19 clusters are still appearing in Malaysia

AS sure as there are new cases every single day, new clusters are also mushrooming around the country, with four new clusters in Selangor, Kuala Lumpur, Penang and Sabah that were identified by the Health Ministry.

The new clusters are the Casia Diamond involving Selangor and Penang, the Pompod cluster involving Sabah and the Kiara and Perkasa construction site clusters in Kuala Lumpur.

As for new cases, there are 1,247 new cases identified today, with two of those being imported ones, bringing the total to 101,565 cases.

1,441 patients have successfully recovered as of today and have been discharged, totalling to 82,540 recovery cases.

However, 18,576 patients are still receiving treatment, with 108 of them admitted in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and 47 still needing respiratory assistance.

There were three deaths today, bringing the total fatality cases to 449 or 0.4% of the total number of COVID-19 cases. – Dec 25, 2020
