E-COMMERCE platform eMedAsia, announced yesterday that people of the public can now purchase their own COVID-19 self-test kits on its website, priced affordably at RM30 – RM35.
Being the brainchild of Koperasi Persatuan Perubatan Malaysia Bhd (KOOP MMA), eMedAsia collaborated with a subsidiary of Hong Seng Consolidated Bhd, HS Bio in order to make the offering available to everyone in Malaysia.
Following this, eMedAsia plalns to bring more products and services to its storefront for the public in the near future.
“The self-test kits will be an important tool going forward in managing COVID-19 infections in the country,” said KOOP MMA chairman Dr Thirunavukarasu Rajoo.
“We will also be adding RTK Antigen and RT PCR screening services which can be booked online through the storefront soon,” he added.
Due to the restrictions under the MCO, self-test kits ordered via the storefront will be delivered directly to the purchaser within 24hours from the time of purchase.
Recently, the Ministry of Health announced that only healthcare facilities and pharmacies are allowed to sell the COVID-19 self-test kits.
All self-test kits available on eMedAsia’s platform are approved by the Medical Devices Authority (MDA) under the Ministry of Health (MOH).
