FORMER Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak urged the authorities to investigate his mentor turned nemesis, Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad over Malaysia losing Pulau Batu Puteh’s rights to Singapore.
He also threw shades on who was responsible for the issue, which was Mahathir himself.
“The one who agreed with Singapore to take up the matter to the International Court of Justice (ICJ) was our 4th Prime Minister. We lost the case before I took over and the one who shed tears for the loss was the fourth prime minister,” he said, in a Facebook post.
Najib added that the one who agreed to file an appeal with ICJ was the 6th Prime Minister, referring to himself.
“But the one who withdrew the appeal after the last the general election was our 7th Prime Minister. The one who allowed the time line for appeal at the ICJ to expire was the same person.
“What was the excuse? According to the Attorney-General back during Pakatan Harapan’s administration, it was due to cost factors.
“He also claimed that chances of winning the appeal was slim,” the Pekan MP remarked.
