MALAYSIA has recorded 6,377 new COVID-19 cases on Thursday (Oct 28), bringing the cumulative cases to 2,454,749.
In a statement, Dr Noor Hisham said that from the number of new cases reported, 101 cases (1.6%) were in Categories 3, 4 and 5 while 6,276 cases (98.4%) were in Categories 1 and 2.
Meanwhile, according to the CovidNow website, 6,637 patients have recovered, bringing the total to 2,354,622.
There were 95 deaths, thus bringing the death tally to 28,769.
Of the current cases, 564 cases required treatment in intensive care units and 299 cases needed respiratory assistance. – Oct 29, 2021
