COVID-19: Kuala Lumpur records seven fatalities, 273 in ICU

EARLIER today, Health Ministry’s CovidNow website indicated 26 deaths for yesterday, bringing total fatality to 31,513. 

“Of the current active cases, 273 patients are still in receiving treatment at the intensive care unit (ICU), with 159 of them in need of ventilator support,” the site indicated. 

As of yesterday, Malaysia recorded 3,040 infections, bringing the cumulative total to 2,752,825.  

In a tweet, the Health Ministry also announced that 3,547 patients have been cured, with the total discharged now stands at 2,668,925.  

Kuala Lumpur recorded the highest death toll with seven deaths, followed by Selangor (4), Pahang (3) and Perak (3). – Jan 2, 2022.
