PARTI Bangsa Malaysia (PBM) has expressed its readiness to work with any political parties or coalition which shares PBM’s ideals.
According to party secretary-general Nor Hizwan Ahmad, PBM, as a new party, is aware that building alliances can help it serve the people more effectively.
“Every political party has its own strength and weaknesses. What is important is for political parties which share the same ideals to leverage on each other’s strength to achieve synergy that can enhance its service to the voters,” he said, adding that each party can play different roles in the political landscape to serve the people.
Nor Hizwan further noted that Malaysia has reached a stage where political parties should not obsess over excessive competition but should seek out and complement each other for the greater good of this nation.
“No parties should be dominating in our political landscape,” he remarked.
“Gone are the days where a political party or coalition has hegemony over Malaysian politics. History has also shown that political ‘marriages of convenience’ can be very unstable in the long-run and is detrimental to the people.”
Nor Hizwan went on to say that this is why the country needs a National Reset in terms of mindset and to break free from old ideas that bring the country nowhere.
“This is why PBM is committed to its six core pillars of multiracial engagement, women’s empowerment, youth empowerment, economic development, education and the advancement of science and technology.
“For the sake of national interests, PBM is prepared to join forces with any parties or coalition which subscribe to these six core pillars.” – Feb 11, 2022
