NETIZENS were aghast as another video of an ambulance being stopped by traffic policemen is going viral on social media.
In a 45 seconds video posted yesterday, an ambulance belonging to Alpha Ambulance was seen being stopped by two traffic officers despite their sirens being turned on.
It is not clear why the ambulance was stopped, given that both sides of the lane were cordoned off with concrete barriers. While traffic was moving smoothly on the other side of the road, all vehicles on this side of the lane was instructed to halt.
Several individuals speculated that the traffic officers were holding the ambulance back in order to ensure that the road is clear for a certain “entourage of VIPs” to pass by on the left side flyover.
However, in the last seconds, the traffic officers were seen allowing the ambulance to depart first before other vehicles.
While it is not stated where it had happened, the footage appears to be taken from the ambulance’s dashcam, indicating it happened on March 5, at 2.14pm.
Upon watching the footage, netizens took to social media to query on what triggered the officers to stop the ambulance.
