For those who want to experience the best of Kuala Lumpur, here’s the ideal hotel for you.
Conveniently located in Bukit Bintang – the premier entertainment, food and shopping district – Ramada Suites By Wyndham KLCC is the ideal hotel from which to experience Kuala Lumpur.
Over a recent weekend stay, I took the opportunity to play tourist by exploring KL Tower, Chinatown and Little India which are easily accessible from nearby monorail and train stations. Naturally, I was equally tempted to spend most of my time in the cosy confines of Ramada Suites.
Each of its 108 beautifully appointed one and two bedroom suites include modern luxuries required by business travellers and holiday-makers including free Wi-Fi and kitchenette with fridge, sink, microwave, and toaster.
Its multiple room configurations (Studio Executive King, Studio Executive Twin, Studio Family Triple, Studio Family Quadruple, 2 Bedroom Suite) cater to the solo holiday and business travellers, couples, small groups and families seeking a convenient location in the city centre.
The hotel’s self-service laundry, outdoor infinity pool and Nio pool-side bar offer the perfect escape. Due to the hot weather, the pool was unsurprisingly a popular hangout spot during the day.
Meanwhile, Hugo’s KL – its ground floor restaurant and bar – features a delicious range of local and international cuisines and beverages. Incidentally, Hugo’s KL has launched a new menu which features a mix of Western classics and Malaysian favourites.
The menu includes mouth-watering gourmet burgers made with premium Australian beef, vegetarian options and a range of spicy and seafood selections, while the new kid’s menu will keep the whole family happy. During my stay, I got to try out its BBQ spread on Sunday and my tummy was sufficiently satisfied.
The drinks list has also been updated with new French, Italian, and Australian wines, and a focus on the classic Gin & Tonic. Perfect for our tropical climate, Hugo’s KL features six gins including Bombay Sapphire, Roku Japanese gin and Botanist Islay Dry Gin on its Gin & Tonic menu.
Other room amenities include a 50-inch LCD television and a private balcony, the latter which I liked as it afforded a view of the KL skyline. Overall, I had an enjoyable stay here and would have no qualms on making a return.
It’s no wonder that in 2018, Ramada Suites By Wyndham KLCC was awarded “Best 4-star hotel in KL City Centre” by Malaysia Tourism Council.
