THE Supreme Toto 6/58 jackpot frenzy which snowballed to a record-breaking RM121.73 mil will finally take a breather after more than four winners are walking away with the prized possession to usher in the Year of the Wood Snake on Jan 29.
In a Facebook post late last night (Jan 18), Sports Toto Malaysia said one punter won RM34.92 mil through “Standard Play” while two others won the same amount each through “System Play 11” and “System Play 12” respectively.
The remaining RM16.96 mil will be shared by “Multiple EZ-Bet” punters.
While a few instant millionaires were born from the Saturday draw, what is more astonishing is perhaps the run-up to the so-called moment of truth with excitement having reached fever pitch as punters formed long queues at Sports Toto outlets nationwide – all sharing a similar inspiration.
A viral video shared by Facebooker Amazing Sarawak ahead of yesterday’s (Jab 18) draw showed a sea of people queuing up some 50 or more metres away from an undisclosed Sports Toto outlet to try their luck at buying the winning ticket.

While another showed a presumably desperate punter inevitably ‘crashing’ his car into a Sports Toto outlet.
The most extraordinary moment in Malaysian jackpot history occurred in 2022 when a 41-year-old Penang machinery supplier pocketed a staggering RM95 mil, the largest ever payout from a total jackpot of RM97.75 mil.
In 2017, a businessman – also from Penang – bagged RM69.6 mil in the Grand Toto 6/63 jackpot which has now become the third-largest jackpot in the history.
For a chance to win, players must choose six numbers between 1 and 58 and purchase their tickets at any Toto outlet nationwide.
Sports Toto CEO Nerine Tan had reportedly said the rapidly increasing jackpot has sparked a surge in ticket sales over the past fortnight.
“With more people buying tickets, the chances of someone winning are also higher. This weekend, a lucky winner may claim this significant prize before Chinese New Year,” The Sun cited her as saying.
