“A huge difference in the quality of leaders in PH and PN,” says activist

POLITICAL activist Liyana Marzuki who has a large following on the X platform (14,500) said after listening to the speeches of some younger leaders, she found a huge difference in the qualities of leadership in the Pakatan Harapan (PH) and the Perikatan Nasional (PN), the two major coalitions in the country.

Netizens seem to agree with the political analyst on the quality of the upcoming leaders in the political coalitions.

“Yesterday (June 29), the JPO team and I went down to listen to the election talks. I go to group talks and mega talks. For both sides. Because it was a Saturday night, both sides brought down their heavyweights.

“I had a chance to listen to the young leader’s talk. Akmal Nasir from the unity government and Wan Ahmad Fayhsal Wan Ahmad Kamal from PN. The difference is ‘Like heaven and earth’,” she wrote.

She said Akmal, who is also the Deputy Minister of Energy Transition and Water Transformation, delivered a speech complete with facts and without rhetoric but maybe a little boring for the voters. His speech was on how the government is trying to solve water issues in some states.

She then listened to the speech by Wan Fayhsal also known as WAF, who started with some Islamic recitations but ended his speech with the usual scolding of the government with insults.

WAF, who delivered a passionate speech, termed the government headed by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim as pro-Zionist because of the Blackrock issue.

The political activist said the crowd should know that the PN government in 2021 wanted to allow Blackrock to manage the EPF Shariah Funds.

Commenting on the post, X users were not kind to the rising PN leader.

Some reminded him of his statement in the past that to solve all economic problems, the government should print money.

Others say the PN man is desperate to stay relevant because if he loses traction among the crowd, he may also lose his seat in Kelantan where he is a MP.

Another user said the political figures use a different tone in different circumstances and hoped that the voters in Sungai Bakap are smart enough not to choose a less intelligent politician. – June 30, 2024
