A video of accident allegedly caused by VVIP fleet goes viral, netizens divided

A VIRAL video is circulating on the social media, showing another incident where VVIP vehicles get preferential treatment over others, even to the extent of causing an accident!

In a 45-seconds video posted by user Jalal Misai Akaub Baru, it showed traffic at a junction being halted momentarily by police outriders to make way for a VVIP fleet of vehicles.

But across the other side, a Proton Wira halted immediately after being told by a police officer to stop, with a speeding Perodua Kelisa unable to stop in time, crashing the back of the Proton Wira soon after.

Making matters worse, the fleet of VVIP vehicles did not stop to check on the accident at all, with police outriders leaving the place soon after.

Netizens, however, were outraged over the incident and called out the police and the VVIP for not even having the courtesy to check on the victims.

(May the cruel VVIPs get preferential treatment, in addition to red carpet, when they get ushered to Hell)

User Syuedaa added:

(Pity the Kelisa and Wira drivers. They will have to spend a lot of money on repairs. What if the cars were their only mode of transport to go to work?)

Insensitive VVIP

However, other netizens pointed out that the Kelisa was speeding, rendering the driver unable to stop immediately.

(It seems the Wira had slowed down but the Kelisa did not maintain a safe distance…or am I the only one who thinks so?)

Netizen Riz remarked:

(Look at the video carefully. The policeman signalled for the cars to keep on going but the Wira driver halted all of sudden. Nevertheless, the VVIP was insensitive enough to not spare a moment to check what had happened…) – Feb 5, 2022
