ACADEMIC excellence has always been central to the education philosophy of Peninsula International School Australia (Malaysia Campus).
This was especially evident with 100% of its Year 12 students qualified for an Australian Tertiary Admission Rank, as well as successfully completing their Victoria Certificate Education (VCE) programme of study.
“Every academic institution is ultimately judged by the quality of their students. Inevitably, exam results play a crucial part in this and we can say that our students are doing their alma mater proud,” said Peninsula International School Australia (Malaysia Campus) principal Gareth Allman.
Underlining the quality of Peninsula students, one scored over 90, putting her in the top 10%, while another five scored above 60 placing them in the top 40% globally.
Special mention was made for Janice Oo Jie Ting on being the first of its students to receive the VCE Baccalaureate Certificate.
This certificate is awarded in recognition of her sterling results as well as for her undertaking a higher level of Mathematics, (Mathematical Methods), and a language within her VCE programme of study.
“The proof is in the pudding and this group of Year 12 students have certainly set a high bar for their peers to emulate,” said Allman.
“Despite the sterling results, we will not be resting on our laurels and will strive to improve in all areas.”
He also expressed his profound appreciation to all teachers, mentors and parents for their support of these students’ outstanding academic achievements.
