PAS Information Chief Ahmad Fadhli Shaari responded to Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim’s challenge by calling for a vote of confidence based on individual MPs rather than political blocs.
In response, PKR Youth Chief Adam Adli Abdul Halim urged PAS and Perikatan Nasional (PN) to stop avoiding the issue and bring a no-confidence motion to the Dewan Rakyat.
Adam emphasised that the Unity Government was formed through genuine parliamentary support for political stability.
He criticised the opposition for rejecting cooperation efforts and accused them of constant politicking and refusing progress while the government focuses on working for the people.
“On the government’s side, we have already responded to the Dewan Pemuda’s earlier motion; if there is an intention to pressure PMX to resign, please bring it to the Dewan Rakyat, not just in the Dewan Pemuda or Muktamar session.
“No one is hiding behind any binding constraints as suggested by Fadhli. The understanding that led to the formation of this government was clearly based on open negotiations closely followed by all observers since day one.
“This was also affirmed through the vote of confidence in the Dewan Rakyat. If there are still doubts and a need for a repeat, please table the vote of confidence again in the next Dewan Rakyat session,” he said in a statement this afternoon.
According to Ahmad Fadhli, if Anwar is truly brave and a “real man,” the Tambun MP is urged to release all government MPs from their alleged binding agreements.
“Give them the freedom to vote according to their own choice. Let’s see if Datuk Seri will remain standing or fall!” he said in a statement today.
