AEON Malaysia takes online to the next level via agreement with Boxed

AEON Malaysia is expanding its business-to-business (B2B) venture by providing new retail solutions via its new virtual mall, which will be supported by its signed agreement with US e-commerce platform, Boxed.

Through the agreement, Boxed will provide the technology and platform that will enable AEON to serve its existing customers in its virtual mall.

As both parties share a similar emphasis on being agile to change and speed to market, the agreement will allow AEON Malaysia to utilise Boxed’s proprietary storefront platform and inventory-picking software, including click-and-collect services from selected AEON stores.

“Working with Boxed will bring in a wholesome customer experience to AEON by bridging more than 1.3 million loyal AEON customers from offline to online space,” said AEON Malaysia CEO Shafie Shamsuddin. – Jan 29, 2021
