AirAsia super app partners with Trip.com, an online travel portal

AIRASIA Super App announced today its partnership with Trip.com, one of the world’s leading online travel agents and a brand under the Trip.com Group, in an effort to strengthen its position as one of ASEAN’s top online travel agents (OTAs).

It said the partnership between the two travel powerhouses will enable the Super App to have access to over 1.2 million additional hotels from 200 countries and regions added to its list of inventory, providing travellers with even more choice and value to complement their travel plans.

CEO of AirAsia Super App Amanda Woo said through the partnership, its capabilities as an OTA have been significantly expanded with Trip.com’s strength in technology innovation in the travel industry.

“Aside from that, this partnership will surely strengthen our travel ecosystem and we look forward to serving all of our new and existing super app users with more travel deals through this partnership with Trip.com,” she said in a statement.

Yudong Tan, the CEO of Trip.com group flights business unit, said through the combination of AirAsia and Trip.com’s technological prowess and vast audience, it is now able to provide travellers with over 1.2 million additional accommodation options through the AirAsia Super App channel. – April 14, 2022
