Angels coming down to vote for PAS? Kelantanese mustn’t be gullible!

KELANTANESE have been advised by netizens to not be gullible to certain rhetoric come the 15th national polls on the promise that angels will come down from heaven and vote for PAS.

A case in point is that of a PAS ceramah (talks) at the height of the 14th General Election (GE14) in 2018 when PAS Kelantan deputy head youth chief Ustaz Nor Azariza Mohd Alawi said the Islamic party took note from the historic Battle Of Badr (also referred to as “The Day of the Criterion in the Qur’an” by Muslims) where the almighty Allah had helped Muslim soldiers by sending angels on horses equipped with shields and swords to take on the enemy.

“If Allah wants to help us, he can do it in thousands of ways, although we are only going for a general election and not a war,” he was quoted as saying during the ceramah in Kelantan.

“The almighty had caused all the kafir soldiers to run despite their thousands while the Muslim soldiers only consisted of 313. The soldiers ran because they suddenly saw that the hundreds became thousands.

“Where did these soldiers come from? They were indeed Allah’s angels which he sent down from heaven to threaten and scare off the kafir soldiers,” he explained in his reasoning.

The viral video of Nor Azariza has been reposted again by Twitter user @RajaMohdShahrim in which the ustaz was speaking in a thick Kelantanese accent.

He has since received huge criticism from netizens alike with many describing his reasoning as heresy or ‘ajaran sesat’.

One user, @absudin tweeted saying, “memang sah Parti Ajaran Sesat” (Its confirmed PAS is a heresy party) while @DaHangMuda said,”Ajaran PAS…Parti Ajaran Sesat” (PAS’s teaching…Heresy Party).

Meanwhile, another user @MIJniel said, “Ni pun dah boleh label sesat ni. Jabatan agama tak nak cek?” (This can be labelled as heresy, the Islamic department does not want to do further checks?”)

Another user @randy_khoo said “but isn’t malaikat yang turun ke bumi = fallen angels? I thought those are like syaitans” (Aren’t those angels who come down from heaven = fallen angels. I thought they are like demons.”)

One netizen also asked if the Islamic Development Department Malaysia (JAKIM) was going to take any action against the ustaz for blatantly abusing the Holy Quran.

“Ini ajaran sesat (This is heresy). Abusing the holY book. Where is JAKIM? Where is the religious body to question this wrong ajaran (teaching)? Mana (Where)?”

User @oknha_hushh had likened Nor Azariza’s  ceramah to a cult while another said even the illuminati will lose against the ustaz

Has JAKIM any intention to investigate and perhaps take action against Nor Azariza? – Oct 28, 2022
