WITH reports coming in that former prime minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin is seeking support from other opposition parties to take on Barisan Nasional (BN), several netizens lauded the former for doing his best to take on the ruling coalition.

Recently, Parti Pejuang Tanah Air chairman Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad revealed that Muhyiddin had approached his party over possibility of a tie-up and make the latter prime minister again.
However, Mahathir added that he had dismissed the Pagoh MP’s calls and referred to the latter as backstabber.
“I didn’t know what to say to him. I stepped down from the prime minister’s post because of what Muhyiddin did. He backstabbed me. The person he backstabbed isn’t even dead yet,” Mahathir was reported as saying.
Since then, PKR president Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim and Parti Warisan Sabah president Datuk Seri Mohd Shafie Apdal also confirmed news that Muhyiddin had approached them but dismissed any notion of making him become prime minister again.
Yesterday, Muhyiddin took to social media to explain the matter, adding it was leaders from Pejuang who had approached him to seek a cooperation to take on BN in the next general election.
“The Pejuang leaders were of the opinion that it was best to avoid a multi-cornered fight to deter the kleptocrats from regaining power.
“Hence, I took the initiative to meet several key leaders of Opposition parties to form a pact but nothing has been decided so far,” he explained.
You “revived” the kleptocrats, Muhyiddin
On that note, user Sasikumar Kernasamy reminded Muhyiddin the kleptocrats regained power due to the latter’s own doing by ousting the Pakatan Harapan Government.
(Tan Sri, it was you who allowed the kleptocrats back into the Government by dislodging the previous administration mandated by the people. Last time, you wanted them but now you do not want them. The people are getting fed up with your elitist politics which is only making the people suffer)
