Auntie tries to solve loan problem by burning her motorcycle

OUT of sight, out of mind. Perhaps this phrase best describes some Malaysians who think they can run away from their problems if all they did was physically remove it.

And when we say physically remove it, we mean pouring petrol over the problem and burning it to the ground.

That is exactly what one auntie did with her motorcycle as can be seen in a video post on X by netizen MALAYSIAN MOST VIRAL.

Most likely the bike was on loan to a luckless bank, although no such information is revealed in the post or the comment section.

But regardless of how entertaining it is to watch someone foolish burn their motorcycle in broad daylight, the elephant in the room must still be addressed.

Does burning your bike solve your debt problem? The answer is an easy one, but we prefer our sharp-tongued netizens hand the terrible truth over to the lady.

Netizen raspod opened fire by saying, “poverty and foolishness is one disaster.

Then there was mycire who highlighted the futile effort, saying that even if she burned the bike, she will need to make payment to the bank.

“If you don’t pay, you get blacklisted. Want to go to Thailand? You get stuck at the custom. You also can’t get a loan to do business. This is why people say that school and education are important,” said mycire.

“Burn it and your debt is solved. This auntie has a weak brain,” said Mr D.

Another netizen did not mince words, instead listing out all the consequences in simple to understand points.

According to NurSultan Tulyakbay, the lady had not paid her loan for 20 months. Further information was provided by wdym, who said the incident happened in Taiping.

Looking through the comment section, we can observe that the bike burning incident also sparked some hate towards the B40 community.

Netizen adams further pointed out that those who do their business by the side of the drain should not be taking on debt to buy a RSX bike.

“Just get an EX5. You just want a new motor,” he said.

To the lady we like to say, we understand your frustration and the fact that you are burning your bike to release some of that anger.

But seriously, every drop of petrol you pour onto the bike is only going to increase the intensity of the fire you are already in.

We don’t settle our debts by burning things, ever. People who attempt to solve their debt problem with fire achieve only one thing, becoming a spectacle in the cyberspace. —Dec 27, 2024
