Avanade named “Best AI Consulting Service Provider” by 2024 AI Breakthrough Awards programme

TECHNOLOGY and business consulting company Avanade has been selected as winner of the “Best AI Consulting Service Provider” award in the seventh annual AI (artificial intelligence) Breakthrough Awards programme.

Conducted by AI Breakthrough, a market intelligence organisation that recognises the top companies, technologies and products in today’s global AI market, the award recognises Avanade’s Disrupt Avanade programme which is one of the flagship initiatives established following the appointment of Florin Rotar as the company’s first-ever chief AI officer.

“The programme is part of Avanade’s Global Centre for AI which oversees the company’s AI strategy, the upskilling of 60,000 employees and responsible AI practices,” the company said in a statement.

“It helps Avanade explore, build and adopt AI across all business functions, with a ‘people first’ mindset that prioritises culture, upskilling and change management.”

The award celebrates a milestone in Avanade’s ongoing innovation with AI on Microsoft as one of only 10 organisations in Microsoft’s Early Access Programme (EAP) with OpenAI.

“Avanade has explored hundreds of innovative ideas which have the potential to enhance productivity, creativity and collaboration with AI – prioritising and scaling those which have the biggest impact,” added the statement.

Malaysia is a country that has also benefited from Avanade’s expertise with the company having unveiled its first generative AI lab for Southeast Asia in Kuala Lumpur last year.

Prior to that, the company had launched its first Malaysian Digital Innovation Studio in Kuala Lumpur located at the Tun Razak Exchange (pic below).

Rotar has described Disrupt Avanade as “a core component” of Avanade’s ambitions to help its employees and clients reach their potential and realise new value using AI.

“It’s helping us shake up how we work and collaborate with AI, safeguarded by our responsible AI frameworks, policies and governance,” he enthused.

“This award from AI Breakthrough underscores our aspiration to cultivate transformative ideas with high-impact innovations – pushing boundaries through continuous ideation, experimentation, and learning.”

This year’s programme attracted more than 5,000 nominations from over 20 different countries throughout the world.

Avanade is embracing the possibilities of gen AI to enable human-centric companies to be more effective, productive and reimagine how they do work, according to the group’s AI Breakthrough managing director Steve Johansson.

This development follows on the heels of Avanade and Accenture having been recognised as Microsoft’s Global System Integrator (SI) Partner of the Year for the 19th consecutive time last week.

Additionally, both companies received the inaugural Global Business Transformation Partner of the Year award for Microsoft’s Co-pilot. – July 4, 2024
