A&W spots new modern-retro look in Terengganu

A PIONEER in the Malaysian fast-food industry, A&W Malaysia recently reopened its popular outlet at Pantai Batu Buruk here following a major refurbishment exercise, the first since the outlet began operations in August 1996.  

A testament to A&W Malaysia’s continued commitment to invest in the brand and its restaurants, the Pantai Batu Buruk outlet now spots a cool trendy modern-retro look and ambiance that celebrates its rich food and beverage (F&B) heritage while at the same time, excites diners with a promise of something always new and innovative.  

A&W Pantai Batu Buruk was established through a partnership between A&W Malaysia and Koperasi Pegawai-Pegawai Tadbir Negeri Terengganu Bhd (PPTNT), the co-operatives for state administrators in Terengganu.

For over 26 years, A&W Pantai Batu Buruk has become a key F&B landmark for locals and tourists alike, drawing crowds within the beach enclave and the surrounding communities.  

The state secretary of Terengganu and PPTNT chairman Yang Berhormat Mulia (YBM) Tengku Seri Bijaya Raja as present as the guest of honour to witness the reopening ceremony of this celebrated outlet. Also present were A&W Malaysia COO Sophia Ch’ng as well as senior officials from the state government.  

 “The reopening of A&W Pantai Batu Buruk is a significant milestone for the A&W brand as this is one of the most successful outlets in Malaysia. Clearly, the A&W brand has struck a positive chord within the community and tourists who flock to this idyllic location and we are committed towards ensuring that the brand and the restaurant remain fresh, vibrant and attractive for many more years into the future,” said Ch’ng.

“We have invested more than RM3 mil to fully refurbish this outlet. It is one of the many ways we can show our valued strategic partners like PPTNT that we are always focused towards a long-term and mutually beneficial partnership,” she added.  

According to Ch’ng , they are also steadfast in making sure that A&W continues to delight its current and growing fans with new innovations and evolved offerings that are “AWsome” to get them coming back more.
