AXIS Real Estate Investment Trust (Axis-REIT) has sponsored a brand new 14-seater van to shelter home for children as part of its corporate social responsibility initiatives.
The Shelter Home for Children, a registered welfare organisation established in 1981, focuses on aiding abused, abandoned and neglected children, irrespective of their race and religion. The organisation is dedicated to rescuing and sheltering children from risky environments, providing them with a stable and healthy environment to overcome the traumas of abuse.
The sponsorship of the van is used to transport the children to school and back, attend extracurricular activities and for medical care.
“We are humbled to be able to do our part for the community in whatever ways we can. We are pleased that we were able to help out the shelter home with the provision of a new van to replace their current old one,” said Axis-REIT Managers Bhd CEO and executive director Leong Kit May.
Moreover, Axis-REIT’s commitment to community welfare extends beyond this recent gesture.
Since June 2023, Axis-REIT has been actively sponsoring weekly physiotherapy and speech therapy programmes for children with disabilities at IQ70+. IQ70+ serves as a home for special needs children and the therapy programs are conducted by professionally trained therapists from Pantai Hospital who visit the facility for the convenience of the children.
Furthermore, Axis-REIT’s actions exemplify a corporate entity taking tangible steps to make a positive impact on society, particularly in supporting organisations that cater to the well-being and development of vulnerable children. – Dec 28, 2023
