Bank Muamalat HQ, Jalan Melaka branch to resume operations today

BANK Muamalat Malaysia Bhd’s (BMMB) headquarters and the Jalan Melaka branch here will resume operations today following the lifting of the Enhanced Movement Control Order (EMCO) in Masjid India and the surrounding areas effective May 3.

Previously, the Masjid India area and its vicinity were placed under EMCO from April 14, 2020.

Following this, all BMMB employees in essential services will return to work at the said premises.

“Even so, the majority of its staff at the two locations will continue to work from home to help contain the spread of the Covid-19 pandemic,” it said in a statement.

The Jalan Melaka branch will open from 10am to 2pm Monday to Friday, while its self-service terminals will operate from 6am till 12am daily.

Meanwhile, BMMB encouraged its customers to use its online banking services because the Conditional Movement Control Order (Conditional MCO) is still enforced nationwide.

The bank continues to take measures to protect the health and safety of its customers and staff and has given the assurance to its customers that its services will operate as usual with minimal disruption. – May 6, 2020, Bernama
