AS civilised human beings, we were raised to view animal cruelty in an adverse light. But at times, is it reasonable to take up arms or purchase poison in the name of self defense?ย

For a better perspective, here is a viral photo of a soldier being attacked by a monkey. If an adult human could sustain such injuries, it would have been fatal for a newborn infant.
Some netizens could be seen making sarcastic comments that made foolish the mercy displayed by the animal lovers who protected the simian offenders.
