IT seems like Woman, Family and Community Development Minister Datuk Seri Rina Harun has a knack for riling up people against her by doing something totally out of place.
This time around, Rina seems to have courted criticism from netizens after Sinar Harian posted a 45-seconds TikTok video showing her visiting teenager Bella, who suffered horrifying abuse at Rumah Bonda.
In the footage, the minister was seen visiting Bella at a hospital ward and sharing a light conversation with her. Later, Rina walked with the teenager and took her to a playpen located at the hospital.
The short clip was uploaded yesterday at 8:49pm.
However, netizens were unimpressed with Rina’s actions and called her out for her lack of sensitivity for putting Bella, who also has Down syndrome, through the photo-op session.
(This Rina is an imbecile. You are bringing reporters around to show you care for the teenager only after the Johor royalty spoke out. By the way, surely the child was nervous when she saw the press. She is a special child and would not know how to differentiate between good and bad people. Rina got her brain cut out too when she underwent surgery for her intestines)
Echoing Lady Musyie’s sentiments, user Hafizaheeyee added:
(You already know that the child is traumatised and yet you bring reporters to meet her. How is Bella to feel comfortable? What a halfwit…don’t do such idiotic things just because you want to promote yourself)

Due to the shocking abuse suffered by Bella at the hands of Rumah Bonda founder Siti Bainun Ahd Razali, who had hired 10 lawyers to defend her, Johor Crown Prince Tunku Ismail Sultan Ibrahim and his wife Che Puan Besar Khaleeda Bustaman has offered to provide free legal service for the teenager.
The royalty also said that he would contact Rina on the matter, where he would offer his lawyers to hold a watching brief during the trial.
“We thank you for offering free legal services to carry out a watching brief on behalf of the ministry for this case. This is very meaningful for the ministry in strengthening efforts to uphold justice for Bella,” Rina was reported as saying yesterday.
Back on Rina’s visit, user Theonehamdiismail said that Rina could have just gone alone to visit Bella instead of bringing reporters in.
(Can’t you go all by yourself instead of bringing reporters? Where is your common sense?)
