BERTAM Alliance Bhd has secured a contract worth RM22.9 mil for the provision, maintenance and replacement of water tank services in six locations in Sabah.
The contract was awarded to Bertam’s wholly-owned subsidiary Bertam Development Sdn Bhd to be a subcontractor to Teamcons Resources Sdn Bhd, the main contractor.
The six locations for the water tank services are Kota Kinabalu, Kudat, Kota Belud, Sandakan, Lahad Datu and Tawau.
The letter of award was received on Aug 10 and accepted on Aug 12, according to Bertam’s bourse filing today.
The contract begins on Aug 19 and ends Dec 20, 2021. However, Bertam has to submit a detailed work programme and network diagram by Aug 17. The subcontractor will also have to visit the six sites regularly to ascertain the status of the work on site.
This contract award is expected to contribute to the earnings per share, net assets per share, and gearing of Bertam.
At the end of the trading day, Bertam’s shares were at 17 sen, up 5 sen with 97,000 shares traded. – Aug 12, 2020
