The orders aim to reform the U.S. immigration system and roll back previous policies, including by creating a task force aimed at reuniting children who were separated from their families.
“There’s a lot of talk (with good reason) about the number of executive orders that I sign. I’m not making new laws. I’m eliminating bad policies,” US President Joe Biden said in the video.
While signing the executive orders, Biden also hopes that the new executive orders would help ‘remove the stain on (the US’) reputation for what the separation has caused’.
