SUPPORTERS of former premier Datuk Seri Najib Razak, who refer to him as ‘Bossku’ are advocating for a collaboration between Najib and former prime minister (PM) Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin in the hope that this partnership will contribute to saving the country and its people.
The Pertubuhan Jalinan Perpaduan Negara Malaysia president Syed Muhammad Imran Syed Abdul Aziz stated that it would make Malaysia great again if Najib and Muhyiddin, two former PMs were to unite at a time when the people are suffering from economic woes and high costs of living.
“The country will be greater if these two figures join together. I am confident that the price of necessities will rise higher when diesel fuel is subsidised and the service tax (SST) increases by 8%,” said Syed in a statement yesterday (Nov 4).
He added that Najib’s or Bossku’s staunch supporters had been waiting for an alliance between Muhyiddin and the jailed former PM for seven years.
The opportunity to present a support proposal from Muhyiddin to Najib arose after the Perikatan Nasional (PN) leader publicly expressed his prayers for Najib, who had been hospitalised due to a recent COVID-19 infection.
The Pertubuhan Jalinan Perpaduan Negara Malaysia which claimed to support Najib, threatened to vote for PN during the state elections last August.
Moreover, the association also noted that they will not back down in their threats to support PN despite Najib’s daughter Nooryana Najwa saying that Syed and former UMNO Youth leader Wan Azri Wan Deris who goes by the moniker Papagomo, do not represent her father or his supporters.
Najib and Muhyiddin had a fallout in 2015 when he was dumped as deputy PM in a cabinet reshuffle by Najib. Muhyiddin had allegedly disputed some of Najib’s claims in his 1MDB fiasco.
Furthermore, the Pagoh MP was also demoted from his deputy UMNO president post in 2015, leading to his joining former premier Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad in the formation of the Bersatu.
