BOUSTEAD Holdings Bhd announced two new appointments to the company’s board of directors, effective Aug 21.
The two appointees are Abu Bakar Abdullah as an independent non-executive director, and Hajjah Zurainah Musa as a non-independent non-executive director.
Abu Bakar brings over 30 years of experience in administration and management from the public sector. In addition to his service as the Secretary-General of the Ministry of Defence in 2007, he has also served in various ministries.
Hajjah Zurainah brings her experience in the fields of human resources management and development as well as human relationship development into the mix, along with her experience of working in organisations in Malaysia, Australia, the US, Indonesia, and the Middle East.
“Boustead is pleased to welcome these two distinguished individuals to the board. The Boustead group will certainly benefit from their experience and expertise, as we continue our transformation journey to put the group back in black,” said Boustead in a statement today.
At the end of the trading day, Boustead’s shares were last done at 63 sen, up half a sen, with 2.1 million shares traded. – Aug 21, 2020
