Bringing smiles to underprivileged children as the year ends

THROUGH the corporate social responsibility (CSR) arm of Sheng Tai International Sdn Bhd, 20 employees from the Happy Angel Charitable Association (Happy Angel Foundation) distributed holiday meals to several homes in Melaka.

Among some of the houses include Salvatorian Homes, Pusat Jagaan Kasih Sayang Angel, Pertubuhan Kebajikan Anak-Anak Harapan, Madrasah Anak-Anak Yatim Bukit Pegoh, Hanukkah Children Home, Lembaga Pengurusan Kebajikan Anak-Anak Yatim Miskin Payasum Sungai Udang, Yayasan Sunbeams Home (Alor Gajah branch).

The meals were able to bring joy and put smiles on the faces to the underprivileged children aged two to 17 years old.

“This is all part of our ‘heart-work’ and our way of reaching out to these children and bring a little joy into their lives. We work hard not only but also in a lot of heart into our actions and initiatives,” said Sheng Tai International founder and CEO Datuk Leong Sir Ley.

“Happy Angel Foundation allows the company to lend a hand to our surrounding community. We understand the impact communities play on the sustainability of a business. By reaching out to the community via the Happy Angel Foundation, we can spread love and happiness to those in need,” he added.

Happy Angel Foundation has been actively organising CSR activities for festive celebrations. It also managed to reach out to front-liners at an event held at the Klinik Kesihatan Ayer Keroh.

Another community service programme was held during the Chinese New Year for the residents of Rumah Sejahtera Bukit Baru.

Apart from that, Happy Angel Foundation also held a blood donation campaign held at Sheng Tai International’s Metrasquare Hotel. – Dec 31, 2020
