KUALA LUMPUR: Bursa Malaysia ended the morning session on a firm note with the benchmark FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) trying to re-test the 1,600 points level, spurred by continuous buying support in the index linked-counters led by Axiata.
At lunch break, the index stood at 1,593.71, up 5.83 points from 1,587.88 recorded on Thursday’s close.
The index moved between 1,586.76 and 1,595.26 in the morning session.
Axiata lifted the composite index by 4.209 points after rising 26 sen to RM4.62 with 15.42 million shares changing hands. – Jan 17, 2020, Bernama
