Bursa Malaysia closes higher on bargain hunting

BURSA Malaysia closed higher on bargain hunting for stocks currently priced lower than usual after yesterday’s profit-taking, said an analyst.

At 5pm, the FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) gained 6.20 points, or 0.39 per cent, to 1,614.73 from yesterday’s close of 1,608.53.

The benchmark index, which opened 3.29 points higher at 1,611.82, fluctuated between 1,609.34 and 1,617.05 throughout the trading session. – June 6, 2024
