KUALA LUMPUR: Bursa Malaysia Bhd has appointed Datuk M. Anad Krishnan as its new non-executive director from April 23.
In an exchange filing today, it said the appointment of Anad as public interest director of Bursa Malaysia by the Minister of Finance was pursuant to Section 10(1)(a) of the Capital Markets and Services Act 2007.
According to its statement, Anad has vast experience in corporate conveyancing, corporate banking laws as well as corporate litigation as he had conducted numerous trials and hearings in both the Courts of Appeal and Federal Court.
He was also an independent non-executive director of Bina Puri Holdings Bhd from May 2005 to May 2013.
The announcement came after Bursa Malaysia had conducted an internal shake-up, with Tan Sri Abdul Wahid Omar being appointed as its non-executive chairman, replacing Datuk Shireen Ann Zaharah Muhiudeen. – April 17, 2020, Bernama
