Bursa Malaysia starts the week on a positive note

BURSA Malaysia starts the week on a positive note, tracking Wall Street which closed higher last Friday amidst the recovery in crude oil prices.

At 9.05am, the benchmark FTSE Bursa Malaysia KCLI (FBM KLCI) rose 6.62 points, or 0.47% to 1,410.06 from 1,403.44 at last Friday’s close.

The index opened 5.95 points firmer at 1,409.39.

Market breadth was positive with gainers thumping losers 334 to 113, while 241 counters were unchanged, 1,187 untraded and 17 others suspended.

Turnover stood at 906.87 million worth RM240.18 mil. – May 18, 2020, Bernama
