BURSA Malaysia ended lower today in line with the regional downturn as renewed United States-China trade tensions weighed on sentiment.
At 5pm, the FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) slipped 7.06 points, or 0.43 per cent, to 1,615.19 from 1,622.25 at last Friday’s close.
The benchmark index opened 20.50 points lower at 1,601.75 and moved between 1,601.75 and 1,618.13 throughout the trading session.
The broader market was negative with 817 decliners outpacing 377 gainers, while 452 counters were unchanged, 1,014 untraded and 35 suspended.
Turnover declined to 3.57 billion units worth RM2.82 bil compared with 3.23 billion units valued at RM2.84 bil previously. ‒ Oct 13, 2025
