Bursa suspends PDT, IDSS for several companies

KUALA LUMPUR: Bursa Malaysia has suspended the proprietary day trading (PDT) and intraday short selling (IDSS) of several companies – including Dayang Enterprise Holdings Bhd, IGB Real Estate Inv Trust (IGB REIT), VS Industry Bhd and Dufu Technology Corp Bhd – for the rest of the day.

The suspension followed after these stocks dropped more than 15% from the reference price.

It said PDT and IDSS activities for these counters would only be activated at 8.30 am tomorrow.

As at 3.35 pm, Dayang Enterprise’s shares fell 20 sen to 96 sen with 33.35 million shares traded, IGB REIT declined 30 sen to RM1.50 with 7.11 million shares traded, VS Industry lost 13.5 sen to 81 sen with 10.69 million shares traded and Dufu Technology was 61 sen lower at RM2.93 with 2.29 million shares traded.

The stock exchange also suspended the PDT and IDSS of Syarikat Takaful Malaysia Keluarga Bhd (Takaful), UMW Holdings Bhd, Pentamaster Corporation Bhd and Mega First Corporation Bhd (MFCB).

Takaful’s shares fell 68 sen to RM3.20 with 1.47 million shares traded, UMW declined 36 sen to RM1.93 with 1.92 million shares transacted, Pentamaster lost 61 sen to RM3.16 with 4.42 million shares traded while MFCB gave up 62 sen to RM3.94 with 2.36 million shares traded. – March 16, 2020, Bernama
