Sapura Energy wins RM840 mil contracts in South America and Africa

LEADING global integrated oil and gas (O&G) services and solutions provider Sapura Energy Bhd announced two major project wins in South America along with a drilling contract win in the Ivory Coast.

The total value of all three contracts is RM840 mil, bringing the company’s total wins to RM1.6 bil in FY21.

With the new projects, Sapura Energy aimed to capture opportunities still available in addressable markets for O&G services, especially in fast growing regions such as South America, Africa and Middle East.

The contract entails the transportation and installation of the Amoca Platform and the pipeline and subsea cable interconnecting the Amoca and Mizton platforms with the Floating Production Storage and Offloading (FPSO) unit.

The works are expected to be completed by the fourth quarter of financial year 2022, ended Jan 31, 2022 (4QFY22).

Additionally, Sapura Energy marked its re-entry into Ivory Coast, as Foxtrot International LDC has awarded Sapura Drilling Holdings Ltd a contract for the provision of its tender assist drilling rig, Sapura Berani services in the country.

The contract scope comprises the provision of semi tender-assist drilling rig services for three wells with the option of one well extension offshore Ivory Coast, commencing in 1QFY22. – Sept 19, 2020.
