“Cancel the Coldplay concert!” cries PAS MP

PAS central committee member Nasrudin Hassan has taken to Facebook to air his grievances about the Coldplay concert that is scheduled to be held in Malaysia in November this year.

“My advice is, just straight away cancel the band’s performance in Malaysia. It brings absolutely no benefit to the rakyat.

“Is the government trying to spread hedonism and deviant culture in this country?” he asked on his Facebook page, while posting photos of Coldplay vocalist Chris Martin brandishing a rainbow flag at a concert in London, England.

During concerts, Martin has been known to carry the rainbow flag, which is commonly viewed as a symbol of LGBT rights.

It was announced earlier that Grammy Award-winning Coldplay will be performing in Bukit Jalil National Stadium on November 22 this year, and this had prompted Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim to re-tweet the announcement and writing, “Welcome to Kuala Lumpur!”

“Let us work together, protect the environment and keep the world safe,” Anwar said in a brief video uploaded on his social media platforms. – May 10, 2023
