Can’t lose weight? Some netizens may know the trick

EVERYONE has that ideal body figure. For most people, however, getting it is nigh impossible.

Or perhaps it is a matter of technique as stated by a fellow netizen who has since gone viral with his post online on how to lose weight.

According to Suncle Izwan, obesity is a matter of insulin disruption, not just about calories going in or out.

It is also not about the lack of exercise or eating excessively. “The way to lose weight is not to go hungry and exercising for hours, but to repair one’s body metabolism,” he said.

He went on to reveal that repairing one’s body metabolism involves getting an adequate amount of sunlight, and sleep among other measures.

Suncle Izwan’s post on X has since garnered over 3,200 reposts, where it became a point of discussion on the topic.

Several netizens chipped in to say that working out in fact, improves one’s metabolism.

Jean pointed out that intermittent fasting was the most effective way to improve insulin sensitivity.

adib. added that people who want to get thin fast should join the army. With the terrible camp food, early waking hours and rigorous training exercises, that should be obvious.

“How about those who are excessively thin? We eat a lot but are still thin and are labelled as being picky,” said J, to which no reply was forthcoming.

Netizen Bitcoin Malaya further inquired about the grounding technique as propagated by Suncle Izwan.

Note that grounding, also known as earthing, is a practice that involves connecting with the Earth’s natural energy by physically making contact with the ground.

It involves walking barefoot on grass, soil, or sand, or using grounding products like mats or sheets that mimic this connection.

The idea behind grounding is that the earth carries a subtle electrical charge, and by connecting to it, the body can absorb this energy, which is believed to have several health benefits.

Suncle Izwan went on to state that it was best to go barefoot or swim at the beach, river or waterfall, ideally for 30 minutes or more.

“Concrete or cement surfaces are still acceptable but wet ground is more conductive,” he said. —Feb 17, 2025
