MAIN Market-listed electronic manufacturing services (EMS) solutions provider with global presence, Cape EMS Bhd, has unveiled a strategic roadmap following its annual general meeting (AGM) to re-affirm its commitment to long-term transformation under the CEB 2.0 framework.
At the same time, the group also announced its return to the black in 1Q FY6/2026 on the back of improved product mix and cost efficiencies.
Cape EMS saw a turnaround in the three months ended Sept 30, 2025 with a lower revenue of RM91.5 mil (1Q FY6/2025: RM141.95 mil) and a net profit of RM4.64 mil (1Q FY6/2025: net loss of RM18.95 mil).
The improvement was driven by stronger gross profit margins, lower operating expenses, and reduced amortisation, finance costs and foreign-exchange losses.
Speaking after the AGM, managing director and Group CEO Christina Tee Kim Chin shared that the group is now entering the next phase of growth with a clear focus on technology-led manufacturing, clean-energy infrastructure and wireless connectivity solutions:

- Engineering Manufacturing Solutions (EMS 2.0): The group is strengthening its sub-micron precision engineering and component capability to support high-value industries such as industrial automation, aerospace, life science and semiconductors.
This is supported by the Cape EMS’ Intelligent Manufacturing Network (IMN) which is operated via its US-based subsidiary iConn Inc which integrates design-for-manufacturing, virtual manufacturing and AI-driven optimisation.
- Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS): Through its collaboration with Shanghai Sermatec Energy Technology Co Ltd, Cape EMS is localising the assembly, testing and lifecycle management of BESS units for ASEAN markets.
The group sees strong regional demand from data centres, renewable-energy developers and smart-infrastructure operators.

- Wireless IoT Infrastructure: The group anticipates rising demand for private wireless networks across ASEAN.
Its subsidiary Ligowave Wireless Sdn Bhd will drive adoption of cost-efficient WiFi-based connectivity solutions that operate at approximately 10% of traditional cellular infrastructure costs, enabling digital transformation in under-served regions.
- Intelligent Manufacturing Network (IMN): iConn will continue expanding its regional network to enhance supply-chain flexibility, mitigate tariff exposure and support Cape ERMS’ group’s ambitions in distributed manufacturing.
Moving forward, Cape EMS remains cautiously optimistic on its near-term outlook.
Despite on-going challenges in the global technology and manufacturing sectors, the Cape EMS Board believes the group is now better positioned with a clearer operating structure, healthier product mix and stronger focus on scalable and higher-margin businesses.

“CEB 2.0 marks a crucial step forward for Cape EMS. We’re modernising our manufacturing model, building new energy technologies and expanding into wireless infrastructure to create sustainable long-term value for shareholders,” enthused Cape EMS’ managing director Christina Tee Kim Chin.
“Barring unforeseen circumstances, the group expects its transformation initiatives to contribute toward a more stable and sustainable operational performance for FY2026 and beyond.”
At the close of today’s (Nov 27) market trading, Cape EMS was down 0.5 sen or 1.67% with 2.13 million shares traded, thus valuing the company at RM293 mil. – Nov 27, 2025
